Encounter with snow [Episode 1]

Hmmm..
  This time i will be wrtiting about my road trip to Manali. Thanks to RAM to arranging everything from start till end. I reached to the Chandigarh on 17th even and according to the plan we had to leave for shimla. Ram has smsed me that he will be picking me up from tribune chawk. There i had to wait for some 10 minutes with no sign of RAM as he wasn't expacting me so soon. Anyway he came in full formals directly from his office without taking off so he has to go back to office. We headed towards his office. There again i have to wait for few more minutes as he went to make excuse about his absense and off for the day to his leads. Now we were free to go... (oh yes one more thing RAM didn't took leaves formaly for this trip). Now as per RAM's plan we had to leave tomorrow morning but i insisted and made it possible to leave as per plan. And around 5 of clock's we started our journey towards shimla (YES.. shimla !!.) As we wanted to enjoy more so our trip was not directly towards manali. We decided that we will be going to shimla->Kufri->Narkanda->Luhri->Ani->JaloriPass-> Kullu->Manali. (In actual we were forced to change the path :) hehehe)

  We filled the fuel and headed towards shilma it was about to take some 3 hours (110 KM) and Ram was riding the bike i was on pillion seat. Sooner then expacted we got sign board pointing SHILMA 90 KM. we got happy atleast we have started. Again after 1 km we got same sign SHILMA 90 KM. After 2 more KM we got SHILMA 90 KM. Friends you will not believe we got more than 4-5 milestones which all were pointing SHILMA 90 KM. After this incident we agree on trusting our bike's trip meter instead of Inidan Govt. After this nothing exciting and unusual happened apart from we were not reaching to Shilma. There were not much milestones and no sign of having shilma near by and bike's trip meter was telling in 1-2 km less in 100 KM. Chilling wind and dipping temp was the biggest hurdle in riding bike. (Ram was wearing thermocoat but poor me was there without any prepration of this chilling weather). My Knee started paining because of low temp. Luckily ram didn't stopped before reaching to shilma. When we reached to shilma suddenly ram stopped and told me he is not going to ride futhur. So now it was my turn to ride on. It was not big deal as we have to just search for the place to stay and then go for dinner. We got the place for 500/- and then we had dinner at one local dhaba as most of the places were closed by 9.  After dinner we reached to the place for sleep as we had to start our quest to snow in early morning. I am telling you the truth even in the room it was not warm everything was chilled. Pillows were freezing where you keep your face only that place was warm rest were freezing, but blanket was too good (Ram termed that as Sher-ki-khaal ka blanket).  After some time we slept because we were tired.

   In morning we started getting fresh get then i realised if you have to get fresh you have to do that with icey water (i termed that ice cubes). Don't get confuse there was warm water but in toilet only icey water was provided. Soon we were on roads heading towards kufri in excitment (in hurry we ignored all the ATMs which was a big mistake in sooner than expacted future). After 21-22 km we were talking that in shilma people told in kufri we will surely get snow but still we havn't seen snow. Suddenly ram told just watch on side of road there was snow with mix of dust we got excited and as soon as we took next turn we got a great view and the snow

.  But i tell you we were expacting more so we planned to go on.. and nearly immediatly we left kufri. Through Thiog we headed towards NarKanda ( actully ram was [mis]informed that in theog someone was seen snow). These roads i tell you were among some of the best roads i seen beauty viz.  In Theog we got snow again

. This was better than Kufri but still we needed something more. We headed towards JalohariPass. As we start this time i was riding the bike and immediatly we got BLACK ICE. Yeap friends BLACK ICE. this one is the scariest thing i got encounter on my road trips.
     This is the thing most of the ram's frds bewared him. They told to drive on black ice is not a joke. Because it's difficult to control bike on slope with curves and over that black ice make it almost impossible to avoid skitting. On first patch of BLACK ICE we were saved by god as speed was a bit more. But just few meters ahead when i was explaining ram what had happened and he told this was BLACK ICE. I lost focus and when i regain the focus we were lying on the road rubbing ourself. Luckily we were on hill side not on valley side (scary huh). Within 5 minuted we were back on the bike heading towards jaloahri pass. When we reahced next village we stopped to check if there sumthing wrong with bike or everything is just fine. I thought of utilizing this time by asking the road for next stop. People were taking sips of tea at near by road block. We headed there and started asking about next stop. There was a strange fellow among them he was an daily traveler from chandigarh to senz. This was not only irritating he was also not aware how to talk to strangers. This guy told some wierd thing which is pointless to write here. Moral of mentioning him is someone discourages us to move on towards destination very badly.
      Anyway we left the Theog and headed towards narkanda. There we got more snow but still this was not we were travelling for. We kept on and on. That strange guy followed us and in between he start talking to us again some 15 mintues he given advise us to take the root for Luhri to karsog but as par plan we have to head towards jalohari pass. which was oposite route. In Luhri we stopped near satluz
. We spent some 10-15 minute here. Then we decided to go for Jalohri via Ani. This road were to scary and dengerous that i will not advise anyone to go on that road. We kept movign as it was 1 in noon and we doesn't has much time to cross jalohri pass if that's open otherwise we need to take alternate route via karsog (which was advised by irritating uncle). We crossed Ani there people told that pass is closed due to snow but ram was in mood to see that closed road. Now i was not at all convienced with that view of ram but didn't said anything to maintain his enthusiasm.  At last we reached to the place from where we can't go furthur
